EDUCATION DIRECTOR
Since the founding of Catholic Basic and Secondary Schools in Abakaliki, part of the mandate has been to use effective basic and secondary education service delivery as a tool to extend the gospel within Abuja and the regions beyond, hence the creation of Catholic-owned Basic and Secondary Schools in Abakaliki. We have since grown from just two to over seventy basic and secondary schools within Abakaliki alone. We are making effort to extend our reach to the regions beyond.
The Catholic Church in Abakaliki diocese believes that Catholic education has as its aim to be a viable means of human development and evangelization of peoples. Consequently, its mission is “To seek to educate the whole child with compassion and care, by responding to the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of each child, while honoring the diverse teaching and learning”.
